All was going perfectly well when one day I decided to place
and rearrange my clothes and organize my closet as there was no room for
anything else in it except for the improvised and tangled clothes piled one on
top of the other. Yes it was a hectic job. I started emptying the closet from
the right end, moving to the left side and then to the top of the closet and
finally as I emptied the bottom of my closet I heard some creepy noises. I
looked here and there, but there was nothing around me. I positioned my ear
close to the back frame of the closet and heard something moving. I stood up
and noticed the chipboard was detached in a very odd way. And it looked hollow
as well.
I found the back side of my closet had white tubes and my
cupboard was off to the attack of white ants, the termites! The sight was
horrible. But the damage has been done. The wood sounded hollow and the tubes
were apparently large and long enough and covering almost half of the cupboard from
the back. Then I realized that few days back I noticed some strange looking
insects in my drawer but I didn’t pay much attention to them as I was getting
late for work, as usual. They were the
termites, I realized now.
It was a hectic job to go through all my clothes if they
have ruined the fabric or not. I called the pest controller team from
High Tech Pest Control company Perth, and the
team of technicians and specialized pest controllers along with their specially
designed equipments arrived in no time at my place right after my first call.
They inspected the pests’ colonization on the cupboard and then the other
wooden commodities to conclude whether some more timber is prone to attack or
even under attack of termites.
After preliminary inspection, and suspecting the altering
habitat, they moved to their specialized machine guns and started loading
rather filling them with chemicals and pesticides sprays. I was tensed the
strong odor of chemicals won’t go away easily, but after spraying my closet and
other wooden cabinets etc the odor did not last for long as the chemicals used
were synthesized. It was surprising.
On leaving, the team of pest controllers gave me a small
booklet that described the methods of ridding pests and assured me about the
follow up. I marked the date on the calendar for the next pesticides campaign
at my house on the booklet provided to me by them. Now this is essential. All
is acceptable but the hidden white ants, termites, bed bugs, mosquitoes, red
ants etc are so creepy that even the sight of them is excruciating!
